Chapter 5.08 - ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE LICENSES

5.08.010 - Sale of liquor prohibited—When.

No retail licensee shall sell, deliver, offer for sale, serve or allow to be consumed upon licensed premises any liquor as defined by the laws of the state of Washington, nor permit the removal of any such liquor from licensed premises in any manner whatsoever:

A.   Upon the day of any general, special or primary election of any state, county or municipal officers within the town and before the polls have closed (except general or special elections of any diking district, drainage district, diking and drainage district, irrigation district, or any other district election when such elections are held on an isolated date and the ownership of property is a prerequisite to voting at such elections);
B.   Between the hours of two a.m. and two p.m. on Sundays;
C.   Between the hours of ten p.m. on Sunday and six a.m. on the following Monday; nor
D.   Between the hours of two a.m. and six a.m. on any weekday.

5.08.020 - Closing hours on New Year's Eve and Day.

Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 5.08.010, on December 31st the hour of opening shall not be earlier than six a.m., except on Sunday when it shall not be earlier than two p.m., and the hour of closing next following shall not be later than two a.m. New Year's Day.
