17.28.010 - Purpose.
The purpose of the PLI zone is to provide areas suitable and desirable for public and institutional uses necessary to the
needs and requirements of the people of Naches and surrounding areas.

17.28.020 - Permitted uses.
Uses permitted in the PLI zone include:
A. Cemeteries;
B. Churches and their related uses;
C. Community center, meeting hall, fraternal organization;
D. Convalescent, nursing home, or group homes;
E. Fire and police stations;
F. Hospitals;
G. Schools;
H. Libraries;
I. Museums and art galleries;
J. Other public facilities not listed.

17.28.030 - Conditional uses.
There are no conditional uses within the PLI zone.

17.28.040 - Density provisions.
The following density provisions apply in the PLI zone:
A. Minimum front yard setback: thirty (30) feet;
B. Minimum side yard setback: twenty-five (25) feet;
C. Minimum rear yard setback: thirty (30) feet;
D. Maximum building height: forty (40) feet.

17.28.050 - Lighting.
Lighting from public/institutional uses shall not be cast into or illuminate adjacent residential properties.

17.28.060 - Signs.
All signs shall conform to the following safety requirements:
A. No sign shall be located in or project into the present or future right-of-way of any public street.
B. No sign shall be so designed or constructed as to interfere with the sight distance of motorists proceeding on or approaching
adjacent streets, alleys, driveways or parking areas, or of pedestrians proceeding on or approaching adjacent sidewalks or
pedestrian ways.
C. No sign suspended over or projecting into the area above a driveway located on private property shall be situated at a height
of less than fifteen (15) feet above the surface of the said driveway.
D. No sign suspended over or projecting into the area above a public sidewalk or pedestrian way shall be situated at a height
of less than eight and one-half feet above the surface of the said sidewalk or pedestrian way and no sign may project more
than seventy-five (75) percent of the distance between the property line and the curb line except for signs attached to the
underside of a canopy or other architectural projection.

17.28.070 - Parking.
Parking shall be provided pursuant to Chapter 17.36.
